“Online communities are good, but an online friend can’t give you a hug. Starting online is good as long as that’s not the end – it’s only a means to an end.”
What else is out there? There is technology out there. It can help us meet the needs of our social challenges. It’s time for us to get out of our comfort zones and embrace the big bold world and the many exciting adventures if offers. For some people, hiking up a mountain or sea kayaking are challenges that offer them adventure. For others, finding new friends and connections is a bigger challenge. Getting the attention of others is a bit of a scary prospect. Ab-sailing down your office building’s facade is also scary and will probably get the attention of your colleagues but there are easier ways to get the attention of somebody and to find those new friends and casual connections that are even more important now than they’ve ever been. It’s time to take that leap and experience something different. We might not be able to hug or handshake right now but that’s coming soon so we will have to wait a little more.
Prioritising our social lives is made easier with technology and that is something that we don’t have to wait for, it is already here with Tabero.
Try it, embrace it, and before you know it, you’ll be embracing your new friends and connections at dining events in restaurants, festivals and pop-ups.
Hugging, shaking hands and fist-pumping really does matter.
